My favorite place to watch from is on the far side of West Bend, down past the bridge on the outside of the Downhill.

Watching the Dyson and Muscle Milk cars from there near the end of the race last year was incredible. You only know who had the lead when they came under the bridge because they were swapping the spots back and forth every lap(which the TV never showed), including one of them where they doored each other through the Downhill, which was sketchy as shitttt.

In the biggest shock in motorsport for some time it was announced today that several F1 journalists had got a story completely wrong.

Reports are now coming in of minor injuries in the F1 press room as colleagues are being repeatedly struck by toys being thrown from a number of baby carriages as Mark Webber confirmed what everyone apart from the ‘most respected voices in Formula One’ had already been saying for ages, that he’ll be leaving the FIA WEC’s feeder series to join the big show from 2014.

Mark Webber’s PR representative has reportedly been expelled from an until now undisclosed secret society “The Gravy Train” for failing to disclose the story “exclusively” to all of its members at the same time.

Webber, one of the most popular drivers in the F1 paddock (shouldn’t that read the only popular driver in the F1 paddock? Ed) is looking forward to changing his career completely from Formula One driver to Racing Driver.

In many ways this will involve Mark taking a major step back in his career though he is expected to rapidly re-learn the skills of overtaking, spontaneous smiling and driving for more than three laps without pitting for tyres, reasonably quickly.

Sebastien Vettel’s response is expected to be an excitable bound onto the orange box he keeps with him at all times to practice podium celebrations before getting cross when he realises that Webber’s replacement is likely to be someone whose career prospects will be transformed by the simple process of driving one of the three cars on the grid capable of winning a race (Four if you count anything Alonso is driving).

They also proved last year that the regulations were pretty balanced, so it wasn't very good seeing them get a fuel break which gives them an extra 2 laps.

I'm down. Also thank you for that location! I didn't know you could go over there. We usually park ourselves at the top of Spectator Hill, then walk around towards mid distance. I do like watching the cars hammer the brakes and negotiate the first chicane. Watching them get a little light as they crest the hill on the run to the second chicane is pretty nice as well.

Lime Rock is such a great little track.

Toyota's point was that Audi simply turned fuel usage into power, benefits of turbo. Actually this can be somewhat proven by Audi's sudden drop of stint length already at the start of the season, situation was completely turned upside down from last year. Because the 2% rule is what it is, last year makes no difference rules wise. More questionable part was Toyota's possible sandbagging at Silverstone & Spa and the timing of the adjustment.

Btw, that 2% rule is not in the 2014 regulations. Rebellion's Bart Hayden's interpretation is that it now means any gap in performance is unacceptable... no idea how that is possible to achieve. I hope BoP after 2014 would be applied more scientifically since the whole regs are more like that, and certainly not by looking at lap times which is retarded if the point is to balance engines.

Sky Sport Italy reporting rumors from the F1 paddock regarding a possible interest by Ferrari to join WEC in a prototype class. Still find it pretty hard to believe.
