On the better side of the recent posters.

Would be better if the cars were actually drawn or at least shopped a bit to look like drawings.

This one isn't too bad, not as good as 2008, but better than the last two years. Got this in a hires? I've got them for the last four years and I'd like to continue the collection.

Typical ACO, putting in plenty of French winners especially the Matra years. But a very good clip though.

Thank you! Anybody else notice that the picture of the two cars is actually laid over an image of the Daytona Tri-Oval and the grandstand was changed? Look over the right rear (left side of the image) of the Audi and look at the grandstand. It's the checkerboard upper and lower deck of Daytona. Even the tower is there before being blended into the Lemans style grandstand.

Considering that and how crap quality the TS030 photo is, it is pretty amateurish... idea good but execution almost as bad as the ILMC (Imola & Spa?) posters from last year

Anyone know when the ACO hand out press cards? I've had my request pending for months now...

Well, today actually. I have 10 days to do this, apparently:

Quote:
=> Requests must be on publication’s or agency’s headed notepaper, must bear the director’s or editor’s handsigned signature, bearing the name and the first name of the people to accredit together with their job title.
=> The photocopy of their 2012 press card
=> For the media having already covered the event: send by E-MAIL or POST the photocopies or originals of the articles / photos / web pages of the 2011 edition.
=> Websites should provide statistics of the previous year (12 months).
=> If applying for the first time: send us by POST an original copy of the publication.
=> The photocopy of the required insurance guarantees to cover the risks (losses, damages, injuries) during the event and in the context of an activity carried out in a meeting.

For the penultimate point, they obviously missed the fact I applied as a Website. *bangs head*

Yeah, seems like WEC has made things even more complicated. Having the same instructions for Spa. (btw I thought you meant the actual press card with that "late" statement, as in, the shit you need to get inside. :p I assume you don't have that already, seeing how you also got these instructions)

just wanted to let you know that I've received my confirmation for the WEC round at Spa today (which is May 5th). It seems that Jeff is now doing the press relations for ACO & WEC. Used to be at SRO, he's a good guy, so they should be rather sensible concerning accreditations.

Designing a banner for Le Mans. First design:

Then we thought it might leave us in a difficult legal area. So the redesign:

Then we figured they probably wouldn't even print that. So third design:
