Awesome, hopefully we can run into each other. You've got my phone number, Brendan, right?

Second. I went last year. Decided right then and there that I have to do this every year. Petit kicks ass.

This rain we've been getting could play utter havoc with the race, tho. We got an absolute shitload of rain today. The whole Metro Atlanta area. Some areas are flooded. Check out what I'm talking about.

Yessir! I may not get any breaks during the race (Hope to God this isn't true...), but I can definitely get out and around during the gridding process... Actually, give me a shout when you get to the track, say? We'll work something out from there and I'll let you know where I am.

So basically then just the withdrawal of the #48 Corsa Zytek in LMP1. That's a shame, but you knew someone was always going to drop out.

Also, a bit of an aside, but it appears that Infineon/Sears Point/Sonoma/whatever you like to call it will be back on the schedule... It's all rumours, but there is a very well informed insider who has listed the potential schedule as such:

Sebring – March 17-20
Long Beach – April 16-17
Sonoma – May 1-2
Salt Lake City – May 8-9
Lime Rock – July 16-17
Mid-Ohio – August 6-7
Road America – August 19-22
Mosport – September 4-5
Petit Le Mans – September 22-25
Laguna Seca – October 8-9

We'll hear more this weekend I suppose when we get the official release of the "State of the Series Address." Not a bad 10-race calendar to look at though, St. Pete is off (was a crap short race anyway), and Sonoma would be back with a 2h45m event it would appear.

Really have to think the best team will once again be McNish and Dindo. It's whether or not Audi have the R15 up to the standards it should be yet.

http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/article/ ... -of-petit/

But that seems to mean no live stream at all (except onboard cameras) during the race either, so I guess I have to watch some shitty justin.tv stream again.

Qualifying will be streamed on Friday.

What's left of the Highcroft Acura after a horrible series of flips in Practice 2:

Quote:
The American Le Mans Series championship-leading Highcroft Acura has had an enormous accident in the second practice session for the Petit Le Mans. The car was launched into a horrifying series of flips and a violent impact with the barriers at Turn 2 when driver Scott Sharp clipped Dirk Werner's Farnbacher Loles Porsche, which was coming out of pits but was still within the blend line.
