The split start is stupid, causes more problems than it solves. Both here and Sebring the GT field have found a prototype sitting in the middle of turn 1. I don't remember there ever being a big pile up before they brought in the split starts? |

IMSA throws red flag for thunderbolts 7 miles away but who needs yellow with a car in the middle of the road. That was some late 1980s call right there when a GTO car was on fire in the middle of the track but they still let the race finish and two leaders had to split the fiery wreck. |
