If Toyota wins it, everyone will (rightly) say: no wonder, the other cars were tuned down, they were forbidden to have a chance.
If they don't win it, Toyota will never dare to show itself in any competition ever again.

Either way, Toyota already lost Le Mans.

Allegedly motortrend.com will carry live practice and qualifying along with the entire 24 hours on their site for those in the States. However, their schedule does not show this. Velocity is slated to cover it on TV but their schedule is not available either at this moment.

The Velocity deal is really shitty. The above uncertainty and then the fact the official WEC app stream is not available in US/will be geoblocked. Good job ACO for signing such a stupid, exclusive deal.

So, it's that time of year: what streaming options to choose? I've used to the WEC app the last few years, but it is more expensive than Eurosport Player. It does however have the onboards (which ES P doesn't have?), but ES P has the natural sounds option IIRC. That makes ES P more compatible with Radio Le Mans in a better way than the WEC app. But ES P has some bad reviews on its Chromecast feature, and no Chromecast is a deal-breaker for me.

It's a mess.

What do people recommend?

Eurosport Player certainly has Chromecast. What were the typical top quality app store reviews claiming?

Fine for watching matches on phone or tablet, although the live feed is a good minute or so delayed. Really terrible when casting onto TV - stutters and buffers throughout, not just on live sport, making it unwatchable. Shame nothing has been done to fix this despite the many comments left.

Chromecast support just doesn't work. I've tried on multiple Chromecasts and multiple phones. Its a shame because Eurosport coverage is actually pretty decent, it's just I can't watch it on a tv

:slaphead:

I tested it and it worked.... so it definitely at least sometimes works.

I wonder if those issues were related to crappy wifi/router. Chromecast is just so picky about network/signal interference.

No shit? Where did you see this?

EDIT: Well, I see it on Jalopnik. Eurosport coverage piped over onto Velocity. We shall see how this shakes out. Odd that Velocity itself has no channel schedule information beyond Tuesday on their site.

Well, Le Mans ain't a race that we need to be wet, for it to be good.

Also, if it pours, we'd probably get some red flags.

PlayStation Vue, which has Velocity, shows the entire race on the program guide.

Reminder that local rain can be predicted accurately only for 1-2 days.

So that prediction going to change many times before the race start.

We've been keeping a close eye on weather forecasts. None have been correct yet.

We hadn't been to Carrefour, made do with KFC. Had a barbecue tonight though - got to love merguez sausages.

The rain was insane. Started just as we we putting up our tent and stopped pretty much as soon as it was pitched. Still, made it easier to get the pegs in
