Good call. That was as much Alberquerque as it was Taylor. Hard racing at the end.

Good call. They both braked late, and Alberquerque turned in a bit more aggressively than usual, from what I saw...

I think a good no call.

I would have liked a cleaner ending for such a great race but still IMSA looks promising this year.

Late in the race, any sign of an open door is going to be filled. Felipe could have realised that and kept wide. It is a 50/50 hard racing incident.

That incident wasn't clear cut enough for the stewards to make a call either way, so I'm glad they didn't. Let's be honest, the only reason this race has such a close finish every year - and the only reason the #10 and #5 came together - is because of interference from race control (ie. endless cautions) so the last thing it needs is the finish being decided by race control too

Good call, happy for Taylors and Jaff, shame for Fittipaldi.

Also the #31 threw a massive block on the #10 on the penultimate restart, so I'm happy to call it even

Agreed with the no-call. IMSA let a lot of things go this race, apparently, so it's only appropriate that they let this controversial incident go.

I agree 100%. That's kind of my point. Like I said, I get that it brings money and attention to the series, but if you can't win the actual race, what's this business about creating a class for you to win in? If you want to compete, cheers, have fun. But just because you don't have the speed to win in GT, don't make a separate GT class so this group can still get a trophy. It just seems like a not so great idea that's been totally bastardized by the current driver rating system. This is a big thing that I think gets left in the dust when people bring up Paul Newman. He won actual races with real competition and really could have made a career in driving if he chose to.

I wasn't blown away by Gordon, but considering his lack of rain experience (like, almost none), he did alright. He kept it on the track and only had the small issue with the Mazda that technically shouldn't have been there. I would be interested to see him with a bit more seat time pre-race and dry race conditions.

I agree but this rant seems a bit late now that it has been confirmed PC is gone after this year (and won't even be replaced by LMP3).

You also have to remember it was simply a filler class in the first place, and partly saved ALMS because without it (and the also pointless Porsche Cup class which eventually merged into GTD) grids would have been abysmal few years ago. Should have been gone earlier though.

Pretty good race overall. Happy to see WTR finally get the overall win. Sad to see a battle end like that however, but I think the ruling was fair (both were 50/50 to be honest)
