New Lotus LMP2, developed by Kolles. Guess we will never see it race.

Yeah, as discussed in the LM thread, that's am R18 render reskinned with the lights and windscreen moved (to an illegally low level). That's as much a Lotus as it is a fucking monkey, lol.

That was going to be the rules, hence the talk of including the new F1 engines in WEC.

According to a rumor... We can now declare that rumor was incorrect. (And you missed the displacement by 200 cc :p)

Don't see how 2014 is going to be LESS complicated than it is now. Less parametres to play with and you can pretty much explain everything with a single table showing the fuel allocations. Compare that to current situation which is a mess.

Reposting from the LM24 thread: the 2014 sort of Group C 2.0 rules

Quote:
* The engines are free. The limitations of cylinders, restrictors and turbo pressures are removed.

Quote:
4-stroke piston engines
Free cubic capacity for manufacturers, high turbo pressure (4 bars)
Cubic capacity limited to 5.5 litres for private teams (cost reduction)
Power of the cars controlled by a homologated fuel flow metre
Free air inlets: air restrictors cancelled, variable admission systems allowed
Fuel injection pressure free
Fuel: evolution to 2nd generation E20 bio fuels (currently E10)
Possibility of an opening in the medium or long term to other sources of energy that have reached
maturity (hydrogen, 100% electric)

Also slight modifications to the chassis dimensions (narrower), P1 coupe only and higher cockpit (visibility). Above PDF has illustrations.

Ah had a feeling it wasn't a real render (But then again my French isn't that good...).

Anyway Kolles, Lotus in 1 sentence that is something I doubt we will see next year.

Doesn't look good at Lola: Rebellion thinking about changing to Dome at the end of this year because the uncertainty and already lack of parts.

The only way Dome can sell a car out of 2008 is with the loss of an other opponent (Not that the Lola is an old car)...

Shame it is happening to Lola but it could help Dome to become a force with customer teams developing the car forward.
