PC caution, FFS.

Good battle between the Ferrari and the Fords for a while there.

Is anyone brave enough to do a shot every time the #8 spins? I know there's only 4 hours left but you'll still be unconscious before the end

It's pretty bad when the announcer says they should rename it the Prototype Caution class.

Reminder that it was the #8 that took out the #73 at the bus stop. It's not even just their own race they're ruining

PC has been a danger to the other classes for a while now.

Even with experienced drivers like Tagliani in the car, remember what he did at Sebring?

I see IMSA still has these sickeningly long caution periods...

Well technically each caution they cause changes the race.

Alright, I'll say it. I'm glad the Professional Cuckup class is going away.

I have mixed feelings about this Pro-Am bs anyway. Paul Newman winning LeMans against real racecar drivers isn't quite the same as Dempsey winning in GT-Am anyway. It's just a bunch of rich guys who haven't earned the right to drive a badass car like that and they're showing it today. Spend some time in a Miata and learn how to effing drive, then work your way up like the Pros do it.

If they insist on Pro-Am classes, keep them in GT cars and install a three strike rule like the old NR2003 leagues had. I get it...it brings money into the sport. Better yet, require a self-destruct button and after each car causes its third caution, an official in the tower gives the driver a minute to vacate and then flips the switch.

Is five cars even a race? Eighteen lap margin first to second place?

Even better, 60% of the class gets a Rolex. It's almost just a participation prize

Mr. Newman was good enough to make it as a pro if the acting thing hadn't worked out. However, I tend to agree with you on the Pro-Am thing.

PC class can't vacate the premises fast enough.

Little disappointed in Gordon. Expected better from him, though he did get saddled with conditions that are not really within his skill set.

GTLM battle is EXCELLENT.

I agree 100%. That's kind of my point. Like I said, I get that it brings money and attention to the series, but if you can't win the actual race, what's this business about creating a class for you to win in? If you want to compete, cheers, have fun. But just because you don't have the speed to win in GT, don't make a separate GT class so this group can still get a trophy. It just seems like a not so great idea that's been totally bastardized by the current driver rating system. This is a big thing that I think gets left in the dust when people bring up Paul Newman. He won actual races with real competition and really could have made a career in driving if he chose to.

I wasn't blown away by Gordon, but considering his lack of rain experience (like, almost none), he did alright. He kept it on the track and only had the small issue with the Mazda that technically shouldn't have been there. I would be interested to see him with a bit more seat time pre-race and dry race conditions.

While I'm on my no-sleep soap box, I really wish the DPi's were made legal for P2 competition. I think it would be a great move for the sport in general. More cars is always a good thing, unless, of course, it involves PC cars.

When the DPi class first came up the deal was the IMSA cars were going to be allowed to race at Lemans. The ACO changed their mind however, which is very stupid since the cars can be balanced.

Technically, all the DPi cars could be raced with a different engine and bodywork.
