I'm fairly indifferent to Gansassi themselves but as long as Dario pilots his stuff I'll be a fan by association. Not a fan of Rojas though - he's one of the dirtiest drivers I've ever seen. Still seems to thing you can drive a DP like a touring car.

Well, you kinda can.

Anyway, Spirit of Daytona is only running two drivers, Ollie Gavin and Antonio Garcia. Back like the old days.

I'm cheering for the McNish/Dalziel/Luhr combo also but I just feel that they've adjusted the regulations to make sure that the G2 DP's are slower than the new cars.

A little off topic, this is badass:

Chip is kind of an ass, and if that isn't enough Scott Pruett is DEFINITELY an ass. I've never really seen anyone more pompous than Scott, and even though he has decent driving credentials, he just comes across as totally scripted and plastic. His commentary is awful and SPEED just seems to love him.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing the #02 win it. Montoya needs to settle his ass down after last year's punting spree. Would love to see Jamie McMurray win.

Ultimately I don't care too much about DP anyway. Dinger deserves a win after his drives the last few years, so a #60 win would be cool. The McNish/Dalziel/Luhr car has a lot of potential too, with Popow and Potolicchio having come on leaps and bounds the last season or so. Feast or famine for them, I think...

I met Pruett several years back in Bristol, when he raced for Cal Wells in NASCAR. He was really nice to me, so I like the guy. I'll send him a Tweet to let him know there will be a marshall in turn 3 giving him the bird every time he goes past...

According to Tony Kanaan on twitter his car will not be racing this weekend because the funding went away... He said the primary Starworks car should still be in the race though..

Confirmed now. #2 has withdrawn, taking Kanaan, Viso, and RHR with it.

The second Starworks entry remains on the entry list, the difference is that it will now run with pay drivers instead of paid drivers. :D

Has anyone found any pictures from qualifying? Apparently they were testing out bumpdrafting in the GT cars.
