Man, got some height.

They were talking on the stream about fixing damage on the car. No wonder.

Oh did the GT cars finally notice they can't just cheat anymore? The kerbs were so small for the last 2 years that they took the piss right from the word go and straddled the kerbs. By end of the race, the second part of the chicane was basically straight lined as they opted to ignore the corner all together.

Might seem a bit extreme putting lumps in, but given the blatant cheating I have no problem with it. It's better than track limits penalties all over the place.

By the way, Aston Martin was incredibly weak today, weird.

Instead of investing in the car I bet they will be crying at the ACO for a break.

Apparently the Porsche flew over the gravel. It was so wide it missed the sausage kerbs.

Same place isn't it? Seems they might have an issue that urgently needs looking at.

Gravel is the same layout as last season. That's the first part of the Ford Chicane.

Man my usual spot used to have a great view on that corner, every hour you had someone fucking up over there (a lot missed by camera too) too bad im missing out this year.

There's always been a jump in the gravel there. I suppose drivers missing their entry now went for the gravel instead of jumping over those new kerbs.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Quote:
The new two-height kerbs, which were in place for last weekend's Le Mans test day, will make for much fairer racing, say the GTE drivers.

"I prefer it because it stops cheating and they've actually done a very nice job on the right-hand apex," Aston Martin Racing driver Darren Turner told AUTOSPORT.

"The part you run is quite high and the bit next to it is so high that you don't want to go near it, so people aren't going to be jumping straight across anymore."

So there appears to be a general consensus that Toyota are either sandbagging to the extreme, or the fuel flow per lap is limiting them a lot more than the other cars. They were 30km/h faster down mulsanne on the in laps than they were on the fast laps. Which suggests they're either holding back to lure Audi and Porsche into thinking they've got a chance, or the fuel flow is limited massively, which wouldn't be a problem on the inlap due to less fuel being used in the pit lane entrance.

Toyota might be the favourites, but it could be a complete whitewash if they are sensible.

I think Toyota really could win this thing, if they had 3 cars.

You can quote me on this after the race. I bet they will lose out with 2 cars (problems, crashing) and an Audi will walk away with it.

What is the weather for the race? As Audi are mega in the rain just like last year r the year when Peugeot threw it away in the rain (not that year when Joest pressed the trigger)

I want to see that epic picture again please!

The site I always use (http://www.wetter.com/wetter_aktuell/we ... =FR0PL0146) predicts thunderstorms for all the practices/qualifying, but sunny and a healthy 20°C for the race.
