You can see the kink in the chassis just behind the door. Must have been where it hit the tree, don't think Armco could do that to a car

Did find a picture of Pompidou's car after hitting a tree when he went through the escape road at Indianapolis. Bloody lucky guy.

Going into the final 8 hours, and all 3 classes have good battles. Who would have thought all 3 audis and both toyotas would be running still at this point.. let alone the toyotas in 2nd and 3rd!

Mattzel said that German Eurosport commentators mentioned the impact was 75G. Apparently no other source for this so far? Not sure if believe that, where would have that information come from that quickly and why since there has been no further statements?

Good morning everyone!

Has anyone been up all night long? If so, what did I miss?

A massive wreck for #30 Lotus, driver walked away thankfully. Also, an hour long SC period for wall repairs, some rain, general incompetence from the #39 team and a decent battle in GTE Pro.

Oh, and fire.

Thanks Gaara, that was enlightening.

You've been up since 6pm?

Slept a bit longer than I intended but it doesn't seem like I've missed too much... rest of the race should be good!

Yeah, someone in the 39 car completely ignored their mirrors, chopped across the track, and wrecked two GT cars.
