Bah. Wanted to print off the spotter guide but the one printer in halls doesn't do colour. Fucking stone age music college.

Well positioned onboard cameras on the diesels this year. Peugeot is closer to the windscreen (will do a screenshot soon), and the Audi is good too.

Would be still nice to see the steering wheel (i.e. cam placed in the back of the cockpit), at least partly... I guess there are space and safety issues and for the Average Viewer it is probably more pleasing to see the road well. :(

AMR-One struggling quite badly. Couldn't pass the Works P2 ORECA in the twisty stuff, and then the ORECA pulled away down Mulsanne. Doesn't seem like they've solved the performance issues so far. :(

It's the year 2011 and we STILL don't get full coverage of the circuit during the practice session. I think it is just pathetic.

We seem to have more coverage than the director is using. There is a camera at Mulsanne corner, and a camera on the entry to the Porsche Curves, and we've only seen maybe 2 or 3 shots from them.

Also, how about actual running lap time graphics. Too space age I guess.

Potential protest points later this week:

Peugeot are running a new rear wing which stalls the gurney flap. Given the ACO mandate large gurney flaps this year to add drag, it's quite a big deal. The ACO regs also forbid devices which stall aerodynamics, so it could be protested. It all depends how it's worded I guess.

There's also very visible fumes from the diesels this year, even more so than the last couple of years, which is forbidden in the regulations. It's a regulation that tends to get ignored, but it's still a regulation and could be an issue if they get any worse.

That Audi is pumping out thick black fumes at times.

All the diesels do it under acceleration, it's just most obvious on the new cars at the top of the hill because you get a white backdrop from the clouds.

The old ORECA 908 does it a bit less, but it's still there.

Apparently some script kiddie has been hacking RLM. That's why it's not working.
