A possible repeat of 1955 and 1999 on the cards there?

It would be great if Audi could win after what happened.

I know what the GT car was thinking, it was probably one or several of the following: "I have never gone round the outside of this kink at night, I have no idea where the edge of the track is and I can't see it before the crest of the kink. I have no idea where the prototype behind me is because the lights are so bright. I don't even know if it's a LMP1 or a LMP2."

Seems like that CCTV shot should have had a perfect angle of the impact.

Is that a fixed camera too? Or is it the same one just been altered post-crash to be facing the other way?

Yeah, I guess it could have been one of those remote cameras similar to the one that caught Gene's huge testing crash in 2008.

I get the feeling it might have been facing the a different way when the crash happened. It's been moving so it's remote controlled.

Think they were 2 seperate cameras.

The one we got the replay from was an unmanned TV camera which had just been left facing down the straght.

Looking at the replays. The Ferrari was driving around the middle line and he clearly moved away from that, so he didn't stayed on his line.

But the Audi's headlights was so bright and I couldn't really see the Ferrari from the replays though.

Usually CCTV should have the full track covered though (so there's probably another cam), that's the point of it.

There are no massive fatals and there is nothing to blame technically to Audi, why would they even stop.

Is the Mikey car an GT-Am car? Yeah still don't think the huge amount of amateurs is a great idea in this big a race.

According to Atlas, there is a story about the GT drivers complaining that the Audi's LED headlights are too bright before the race.

This is why LED lights should be banned. They are too bright and impare drivers ability. Theres a campaign in the UK to get them banned on road cars.

GT PRO, but that's determined by the car, not by the drivers.
A team with 3 rookies in a F458 would be GT PRO, a team with Kristensen Bourdais and Ickx in a F430 would be GT AM.
