I imagine there will be plenty of arm waving and finger wagging with ACO and the stewards right now.

Kind of reminds how Sainz lost WRC title in 1998.

Even though that finish was a new level of cruel, that's exactly why I love motorsport. And specifically this race. It's difficult to think of any other sporting event that could come close to creating a moment like that as far as I'm concerned.

And now I've got a team to root for next year :flag:

I have a feeling Toyota might pull the plug out of Le Mans now. Spending hundreds of millions year after year and with the only result of huge dissappointment.

they will build a car, withdraw, and claim that car would have been the best thing ever.

With the way WEC is doing well and generally raising profile I don't think the decision is anymore solely based on previous year's result. You could make the same case for winning: finally win > marketing job done > quit but that's probably not how it works. You build the image by continous presence/winning.

won't happen for any full time NASCAR driver. They already scheduled against it when they took out their June off weekend in Cup :(

(was kinda of hoping to see Allmendinger or one of the drivers who are normally paired with a top IMSA team go over to run)

alot of the NASCAR drivers aren't happy with the change either, as their schedule is already extreme

well, if he wins a couple races and go to the chase he wouldn't mind miss some others to make the testing and the race
