Who are these guys commentating on practice? Firstly, how in the fuck did they think Hawksworth wasn't doing a full season and secondly, what's with all the heavy breathing?

IndyCar Radio will be live today however (although most of the sessions is live on NBCSN)

Top 6 in second practice are currently within 1 tenth of a second. Looks like Chevy on top with only Andretti mustering anything on the Honda side.

EDIT: Make that 7 with Rahal.

Fast 6 are Power, RHR, Pagenaud, Newgarden, Rahal and JPM in that order. Monty made it in by just under 4 thousands of a second, and only a tenth down on Power.

Ah, another reason I like Indycar. Morning warm-up, setup changes throughout the weekend, and tyre life is largely dependent on conditions\car rather than artificial mandates.

From what I've been hearing so far, the high heat and winds will increase tyre degradation particularly on the reds. Blacks will be the way to go, so early first stops to ditch the reds are a possible strategy.
