Once this place is totally finished and all green with grass, it won't look all that bad. Commentators drew the comparison to Cleveland in that the spectators can pretty much see the entire track from the stands.

Quite like it so far.

They should just put Yakety Sax on in the background at this point.

Just taken my family to Disney in Orlando and we went past the speedway on the way to the car park. Took a couple of photos from the starters gantry on the way out. Will post them in a couple of days.

According to an Autosport article I read earlier, my understanding was that Saavedra is doing the Indy road course, Karem the 500. They'd be sharing the 4th Ganassi car for the rest of the year with Saavedra in the car for this weekend's Long Beach race.

DRR and a team called Kingdom Racing (hand heard of them til now) are supposed to be announcing their 500 drivers this weekend. On kingdom racing website under drivers the have listed Pagenaud, Karam, Davey Hamilton and Martin Plowman. Obviously it wont be Simon or Sage and im not sure if Hamilton would get back in so maybe Plowman? Anyone else know more about that?

Turns out Susan G Komen haven't 'sponsored' Mann's drive either last year or this year - she put together a deal with several smaller sponsors, and is effectively using the car as an awareness-raiser. Sounds pretty decent of whoever these sponsors are.
