What does Penske drivers and the Dallas Cowboys have in common?

They always seem to find a way to choke right when it matters the most.

That's some heavy stuff right before a 500 miler! I think Power needs some to keep his nerves in check.

Castroneves on pole... Power 21st

Looking at the lap charts and seeing how much slower Power is compared to the rest of the field, I find it hard to believe he didn't do those slow laps intentionally. He also made comments that he either wanted to start at the very front or very back.

odd thing to do?, but given it's an oval it's far from the end of the world for him

Perhaps it could be considered an odd thing to do as he's the title leader and the leading contender is on pole. But starting at the back allows him to watch everything ahead of him and pick off the few spots he needs to be guaranteed the title. That said, he's sitting in the realms of Savaadra. *gulp*

There's just been an awful crash involving Aleshin, he spun and got hit by Kimball and flew into the fence, they're extracting him now...

oh damn

Post subject:  Re: 2014 MAVtv/American Real 500 (Finale)

They showed the whole crash live. Aleshin was running on the bottom, spun out (like Power in 2012). Kimball was running the high line and had no where to go as Aleshin came up the track so quickly, Kimball t-boned him, the force caused Aleshin's car to go airbourne, almost flipped, then it went into the fence where it seemed to spin, as in the front hit the fence (that's what tore up the fence and put a wheel in it) and then the rear hit the fence, the car seemed to spin a lot and then slid back down the track.

This is from seeing the accident live as it happened and not expecting it at all, it happened so quickly.
