Sorry for being that guy, but Canada 2011. An eventful race with cautions give those kinds of opportunities, it just happens that oval racing is more eventful and has more cautions.

Yes indeed. But when you say? 2011? That's 6 years ago. One eventful race 6 years ago.
Hungary 2006 was also fantastic. So was Monaco 1996. Can't say we've had lots of races-where-everyone-can-win in 2017. Or 2016. Or 2015.

I agree that F1 is leagues behind Indycar on exciting racing, but to play devil's advocate: 1) Baku 2017. 2) If F1 had races like that all the time they'd be a bit less special, and race direction would have an aneurysm - seriously, they struggle to keep up with the dull races. Having a mixed up order with the same regularity as, say, MotoGP would be nice though.
