Seriously though, Seabass is legit this year. Early title contender?

Yes, I think so.

I know it's only 2 races in, but the two Dale Coyne Drivers are 1st and 7th in the standings...

Folks, let that sink in for a moment.

There's nothing more satisfying than Andretti failures....ESPECIALLY Marco finishing last of the 4.

What's the saying "all the gear but no idea"... is that it?

Great race, classic Indycar, really cool to see Hinch win and Bourdais getting up there!

I'm calling it now. If that rumored 3rd manufacturer shows up, Andretti switches.

Was the race interesting to watch? Couldn't see it live yesterday.

A bit long in the tooth, but interesting, and a proper race. Nothing farcical or chaotic.

Hildebrand suffered a broken bone in his hand when he hit E-Lotion.

He suffered a bit of broken brain before he hit Aleshin... Forgot where the brake pedal was.

Hunter-Reay is the only one in that Andretti outfit who can get that damn thing to run... Though Rossi showed good form at times yesterday (excluding his time on cold tires.)

If you get a download, watch the first 5 laps or so then ffward to after the caution with 20 laps to go, you will have missed nothing

Wish more series would do this.

Honestly, the race was good. Too bad about the lack of passing (hopefully the new body next year will remedy that). Plenty of strategy, no BS, never really know who's gonna win until the final stint...

I rented a scanner for this race. Gotta say it changed how I view races, now that I can listen to team communications. Pretty damn hilarious to listen to Marco Andretti's comms when his car conked out, with him bitching to his team and all (and IndyCar for not letting him restart the car until about 8 laps later).

Oh, and Dixon bitched about something when he came in for his final stop. Not sure about what, but I'm sure it has something to do with the team suddenly changing strategies on the fly. Doesn't help when the refueler took too long on that final stop. For a guy that supposedly has a reputation of being cool, calm, and collected, he was anything but.

Stoked for Hinch winning. In fact, I'm glad for the top-3 being full of likable guys (yes, I'm slotting Seabass in as a likable guy). Enjoyable race overall.

New aero will probably help a little, but Long Beach is just never going to be a passing filled race. The layout of the track is not great for overtaking, that's all there is to it. It's been that way for decades.

Especially since they included the dolphin fountain complex. Kinda wish they didn't build the Pike because otherwise, I would much rather go back to the pre-1999 layout.
