I still feel that Red Bull should have gone for Herta

Just read Helio Castroneves' biography "Victory Road: The Ride of My Life ". A very interesting read into his life and career, plus the "Trial". Also paints Emerson Fittipaldi as a total scumbag.

Can you elaborate on Fittipaldi? I thought all Brazilian drivers idolised him (at least Helio did at one point obviously).

Emerson approached Helio and offered his services as a manager and sponsor seeker, with an agreed fee. As time went on, Emerson only offered "promises" and delivered nothing, leaving it to Helio's sister Kati to do what Emerson should have been doing, yet he was still taking his "cut" for doing sweet FA.
Helio's Dad warned him not to re-sign another management contract with Emerson as he wasn't doing what he was being paid for, but Helio did out of loyalty to his childhood hero, only for the penny to finally drop and Helio told Emerson where to stick it.
Emerson went nuclear and brought a lawsuit (not THAT lawsuit though) against Helio, of which Emerson quite rightly lost.
Helio also suspected the Tax Avoidance lawsuit he faced was ultimately instigated by Emerson.

He also says Emerson was responsible for turning on the Yellow lights as he was passing Paul Tracy at Indy 2002 and was pushing his foot onto the throttle before every goddamn green flag from 2000-2016

ah Emerson such a great manager and entrepeneur. Even though he won several high paying races, having high paying endorsements and so still managed to go bankrupt 3 times

plus he said it was an orange farm, actually was a disguise for cocaine smuggling

before Senna was crowned world champion he was dating a 14 year old girl, but that was the late 80's and generally that was ok if they had the parents consent

Certainly not saying that it's right, but one shouldn't look into the private lives of some of the biggest classic rock acts if that sort of thing is a bother.

I thought Senna's dark secret was that he lost his virginity to a hooker.

Well, to get back on topic, I saw an interesting screenshot on Twitter of a Racer.com article that was apparently posted and then quickly deleted on their website. The article claimed that Rossi was going to make a shock move to Carlin in 2020, and that Zak Brown/McLaren would be involed with heavy funding from their end. It also mentioned the opportunity for Rossi to gain an F1 reserve seat with potential free practice time on weekends that don't clash with the IndyCar schedule.
