Damnit. Great they're going back to The Glen. Bummed that I will be in Oswego on Labor Day weekend.

A series that has Watkins Glen and Road America on the schedule. I will try to bitch less about Indycar, I promise.

Now if they could just replace Sonoma with Laguna Seca, replace St. Pete with Miami streets, add Cleveland, Gateway, and Milwaukee and I'd be pretty happy. That shouldn't be too unrealistic but it seems like the current IndyCar officials have a love relationship with people at Sonoma and St. Pete. Horrible tracks.

Why would IndyCar in their right mind get rid of 2 races that have been stable on the schedule? would be a pretty stupid financial decision on their part. And I'm sure that SMI or Green-Savoree wouldn't be happy which would probably get the series to lose dates at Texas, Toronto & Mid Ohio as well (or any chance at returning to Kentucky or New Hampshire)

then again.... they threw away Fontana & Houston because of TV ratings/NFL season, not counting failed races at Qingdao, Brasilia, Boston, (imo most likely Beijing)

However, it sounds like Cleveland, Gateway & Miami (Homestead) might have a chance for 2017 (based on past rumors & IndyCar working more closely with ISC again). I could see Laguna depending on what happens with ISC/SCRAMP (don't think SCRAMP has had enough funding to put a IndyCar race on while making a profit, not counting politics)

Its great to see the Glen back, it more than deserves a race

Five races in and Chilton is still ahead of Bourdais in points and also ahead of Marco Andretti.

IndyCar looking to open up some rules for next year, such as allowing teams to develop some parts and possibly allowing multiple manufacturers for wheels, brakes & electronics to the current chassis.
