Did he do any CART races after Edwards stopped? Got a vague memory of him doing it, might be mixing it up with some other American races. Either way very good commentator, at least that's something that'll be good about next season!

Perhaps this means he'll be doing F1 play-by-play as well.

He is, again according to Jenna Fryer.

Yeah he did the entire, traction control, pit window laden 2002 season, alongside Jeremy Shaw at least on the international feed.

That was the year Sky bought Champcar over here so I never saw it live, but he seemed good enough on the 1 hour highlights clip on Eurosport....he definitely does his research I can say that about him.

He did V8 Supercars for years, as he's an Australian national. He was fairly good.

Diffey is fucking out of this world amazing. As much as I love Jenkins, Diffy, Dallenbach, Beekhuis, Lee, Snmider, Buhl, and Miller: Best TV team in the world right now.

Wally Dallenbach has been confirmed?

Pretty cool, I had him down as a NASCAR only guy when he was on their coverage, but when he covered a couple of champcar races in the mid 00s (Mainly Long Beach I think) I was impressed that he really knew his stuff about that too...
(Well, I guess his dad helped in that regard :p )

As long as they keep Will Buxton out of it I'll be happy :)

Yes, he's a team owner. No, he's not a dick.

Tyce is a hell of a nice guy and was always an underrated driver in my opinion. Plus he knows how to run a successful business. Plus he could wheel a midget pretty darn well.

Hire Him

He had 29 starts in the shitty IRL era from 1996-2002 with best finish of 8th. He now sells real estate for RE/MAX. Tyce Carlson makes Tony George look like Steve Jobs.

Hinchcliffe isn't very keen on doubleheaders, claiming that they usually end those races (street circuits) with blisters or their hands, and two races in two days would mean, literally, ending up with bloody hands.

He also claimed that for a race they start hydrating about 3 days before the race, and that the water they lose during a race is too much to be able to fully rehidrate overnight for the second one.

I know they aren't as physical to drive, but V8 supercars quite often have 2-3 races a weekend as with many other GT/Touring car series, so it's not like it's completely unheard of, but they are some interesting points he raises

ya but also, unless i completely misread the release about the races, they wont be 2 full length races either right? just 2 shorter ones which means it wont be as tough on the body as a normal weekend where he would be hydrating 3 days in advance ro having blisters build up on the hands so badly.

I'm not a fan of those doubleheaders at all.
Who (besides the diehard fans) care to watch two races on one weekend on tv? It will lower the ratings even further.

Is he serious?

Many Nascar drivers run two full races on one weekend, GP2 drivers also have 2 races on one weekend.
