Exactly. But I suppose it was tried and it didn't fully work out. Shame it's been removed as it was always an entertaining, heart in mouth type situation, but at least they tried.

Just heard from a friend who is at the event. Track action has been delayed because of the threat of lightening.

It could work at some tracks but not others. Especially not on street courses.

Well judging by the amount of rain, I'm expecting either a river or lake for qualifying. :whistling:

I'm here 'til Thursday, try the veal.

They hope to start qualifying at 5pm EST (which I believe is 9pm here).

There won't be a stream as ABC doesn't show qualifying but there will be a semi-decent live timing, in stark contrast (along with the engines) to another series I could name.

A backhanded reference to the argument that was had in the F1 RDT.

I think you'll find he has been given the Verizon P1 Award ;) No, really. That's what pole position is called now.

Not an ideal debut for Montoya, but I guess he'll be playing it conservative etc etc.

It's been so long since he's had to drive in the rain he's probably forgotten how...

There were no jet dryers as reference at the track.
