I just don't see how Howard gets to go and Hinch will sit out.

Agreed.

So which ride will Hinch buy out?

Schmidt contemplating how much money he would need to throw at AJ to get him to yank Davison.

The 10 minutes left is for driver interviews by TV, apparently.

Unbelievable.

Oh, fuck 5:50.

He'll kick Howard out IMO.

I don't see the problem with the cutoff time. It's not as though it's chosen at random at lunchtime. Everyone knows when the gun goes off.

The weather did far more to fuck over Hinch.

Unless I'm missing something, why wasn't Hinch in line sooner when it looked like he might get bumped?

Maybe worried about a wreck or more rain, that's the only reason I can think of

He moved to Line 1 when Daly bumped him out - he then got to go on track after (Mann?) finished their run, but there was a loose wheel or something and he had to waive it off. Then once that was fixed he was stuck behind Pippa again, who was the last one out.

If you mean earlier than that - hubris? It really didn't look like either Oriol or Pippa were going to make it, then Oriol put his good run together.

So sad fo Hinch, but he probably will race in another car.

Pippa though, she sometimes seems like a perfect ambassador for the series, works her ass off all year, just for the chance to race the 500, and misses out. I am more sorry for her, than for Hinch.

Pippa is actually quite likable. What else does she do during the season?

Screw it, just let them in any way. They've done it before.

This! I feel absolutely gutted for her. ABC had a shot of her crying as they went off air. I feel terrible for her too. :(
