IndyCar doing the lord's work. I've been watching it all morning on my big screen TV. Good stuff.

Michigan wasn't very kind to Krueger. Were there ever any replays of his 1984 accident? Looked huge.

And then the big ones later in the race... Damn, these guys were brave.

I don't think there was any footage of Krueger's accident.

If it's the one where Krueger's car bent in half and pinned him in it then there is no footage I'm aware of other than the rescue. Those aluminum monocoque's were a death trap.

Watched this late last night. Would have been awesome if Greg Moore got the win in just his second career start.

But of course the Brazilian faithful totally approved of the eventual winner.

It still boggles my mind that Mark Blundell wasn't killed in that crash. Just unbelievable.

I know it's on page 1 of this thread, but this race was just added to Indycar's official Youtube page. The quality is best I've seen on Youtube.

and how he even managed to climb out of the car and stagger away before collapsing when he realised "oh my ankles are mangled". #WellArd

And Scott Goodyear had a similar crash in practice earlier that weekend. He only ran three CART races (Toronto, Vancouver, and Laguna Seca) after that, then went to the IRL the following season.

Didn't Blundell aim at Gulgemin trying to stop

it doesn't get any less ferocious the more I watch it :8:

Never seen this before, and I honestly think it looks *more* ferocious each time 8O

Yeaa, he said he aimed at Gugelmin to try and soften the blow.

Man, that was probably the hardest hit I've seen a driver actually walk away from.

I dunno, this one runs it very close.

Well Villeneuve did hit Hiro right where he 'should have' I think, between the tube and the engine. Hope that makes sense. A few centimeters to the left and Hiro might not be here to talk about the back of the field much...

Here's a cool vid with Blundell talking about the crash himself. I literally said "Holy shit!" out loud when he said that after the crash his seat belt's were FIVE INCHES longer than when manufactured, and the monocoque 2 inches narrower. Just crazy.
