The Saudi rounds of the championship move from the streets of Diriyah to the Corniche circuit in Jeddah. The short variant will be used, with 4 chicanes added in to break up the straights.

Round 3 on Friday will also see the debut of PitBoost, requiring every driver to make a pit stop and be stationary for 34 seconds whilst the car is recharged. The pit window will be whilst the car is in the middle fifth of its battery storage (between 40% and 60%). Round 4 will not feature PitBoost. In addition, the event will hold a rookie test on Thursday.

Might be clever of them to have a full race run test of the pit stop charging on the Friday race, which because it's on friday will be seen by fewer people than the saturday one.
I'm curious to see how it affects the racing, probably for the worse imo, but hey, I've been wrong before :whistling:

Not a bad weekend of racing for February, with Formula E and NASCAR at Daytona.

The rookie test ends with Chadwick dawdling around and driving into O'Sullivan at the Bus Stop.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

10 years of Formula E and they still need 4 chicanes in one lap

Did they really need two chicanes on the front straight? Seems like overkill.

I think the pack was too spread out for that, short lap, couldn't justify sending marshals onto a live track with no gap in traffic for them to run out safely

That's how I'd justify it if I was a race director, and as someone who used to run out on tracks sometimes, I'd be goddamn thankful too
