I still can't for the life of me find the official reason why Paris e-prix didn't return on the calendar. We still have the same mayor with a policy heavily focused on e-mobility. The last edition in 2019 was a success with full grandstands and a lot of visitors on the free exhibit area. It was honestly a hopeful and family-friendly event, a highlight of my year in a city that's becoming all doom and gloom lately.

The Apprentice (UK) this week (Thursday night, BBC1, 9pm), sees both teams attempting to launch new (fictional obviously) Formula E team brands. Should be amusing...

Attack Charge\charging pitstops are likely to be postponed until the start of next season.

In a really left field announcement, Yamaha and Lola (yes that Lola) will be entering season 11 (as one entry). It's cool to see the Lola name back in motorsports!

So does this Lola have any relation whatsoever to the original? Regardless, of all the series they could have chosen to come back in, they chose fucking Formula E.

The new owner bought the name/trademark/IP but also the remaining assets that included the HQ/technical center and its wind tunnel.

This Tokyo track has quite a gnarly jump/bump, I'll be curious to see how the cars hold up after a full weekend of racing

I can think of about 5 better tracks in the UK that'd suit them more, but Silverstone has the "prestige" I guess

Also they still owe me a Birmingham Superprix after all that hype a few years ago :whistling:

But it seems their street racing phase is coming to an end.... :8:

Key technical enhancements for the new GEN3 Evo race car include:

- The quickest accelerating FIA single-seater race car – Capable of 0-60mph in 1.82 seconds (0-100kph in 1.86s), 30% faster than a current F1 car.
- Faster, stronger, more agile – Performance upgrades providing an estimated 2% performance gain from GEN3, equating to a c.2 secs faster qualifying lap on the Monaco circuit, offering world-class racing on any track.
- Leaner and meaner – An aggressive new body kit designed to be stronger, more robust and more aerodynamic, delivering closer wheel-to-wheel racing.
- All-wheel drive (AWD) –A first for a Formula E car, available during qualifying duels, race starts, and ATTACK MODE. This feature maximises acceleration and control, elevating the thrill of critical race moments and intensifying driver rivalries. AWD enhances both performance and strategy, providing more exciting racing for drivers and fans alike.
- Better grip – Optimised all-weather Hankook iON tyres providing 5-10% more grip, made from 35% recycled and sustainable materials (+9% vs GEN3 spec).

Technically not new for 2025 since they're supposed to be still introduced this year. :whistling:

The latest plan was to introduce them at Misano (previous round).
