another great race.

3 races in and this series is already much better than estabilished series like WTCC and F1

I don't get it when people say that they're copying F1 or they're not fast enough or something. Yes, it's strange, but it produces fantastic racing so far (bar China, but only because the track was too long). They're not copying F1. If I want to see F1, I'll just tune into NBC Sports Network at 4 AM.

It can be only because of the name.

Great race, shame vergne retired. Did his front wing collapse or what was that?

Apparently his front suspension collapsed - I think there had been some concerns about the kerbs, but I guess he just got over-eager.

They stuck around to do some testing. Sarrazin decided to stop hitting everything and was fastest.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Vergne may get another chance with Andretti as Montagny was caught riding the white tiger in Malaysia.

I sincerely hope he didn't bring that stuff over to Malaysia since drug laws there are very strict (up to death penalty for trafficking). He really risked a lot if he did.

Maybe a French member can translate it properly, but the gist I got was he tested positive for a cocaine derivative after the Malaysia race and went to ground, now he's come clean and admitted to it, I don't want to judge solely on my poor French from School, but some stuff he's quoted as saying in the article gives indication that he was a regular user while racing (to boost his performance) and knew he'd be caught one day.

In which case he's utterly fucking stupid and deserves a lifetime ban.

And the Autosport article seems to go along the same lines as Ian's translation.

Google translated: started taking it during his F1 tenure, helped with pain when he had broken ribs when he was driving for Peugeot.

Did nobody tell him cocaine is a stimulant not a suppressant?, if he wanted pain relief he should have been taking morphine not coke :

When they say 'derivative of cocaine', what does that actually mean? I guess for years he's been thinking he was squeaky clean.... considering the amount of washing powder that's gone up his nostrils... ;)

Probably one of those legal highs, such as dimethocaine (aka Mind Melt, Mint Mania etc.).
