At least he and Trulli can be average and past their best together

When was Trulli ever at his 'best'? Actually, same goes for JV. Come to think of it, probably 1997 for both.[/quote]

For Trulli it all ended upside-down at Silverstone in 2004, for JV a week after Silverstone 1998 by signing the BAR deal. Brought him millions of $$$$$ tough. :beard: :flag:

Heidfeld has taken Chandhok's place at Mahindra.

Testing has been taking place since Monday. The e-Dams is the car to beat, and the Virgin, Abt and Mahindra cars look competitive. Nextev looks fast but fragile - no laps completed on Tuesday. Rumours suggest that Andretti is in deep shit after not completing a single lap. Same with Trulli.

The cars now all sound different from one another as well.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Well I've always thought of him as a bit of a Wall-E :whistling:

Interesting differences in the sound of the new power units. As for Andretti, is the deep shit referring to the development of the car or the suggested financial state of Andretti Autosport?

Could be both, but the car is definitely broken at the moment. One spectator recalled that the one time they did send Simona out, they didn't see the car again until it came back on a flatbed.

Ugh:

Quote:
Formula E is set to introduce an extra 'superpole' qualifying session for season two in 2015/16.

AUTOSPORT has learnt that the electric-vehicle championship is working on a revised format under which the fastest driver in each of the four 10-minute mini-sessions would proceed to a final round of qualifying.

Championship bosses have admitted that changes to qualifying are planned, but they are so far refusing to reveal exact details.

fiae.com hinted the ban lift would only for electric racing:

http://www.fiaformulae.com/en/news/2015 ... eprix.aspx

The ban is just mindboggling. It was brought up twice in the parliament (?) in recent years, so especially if the excuse for opposing is safety instead of being un-green (are green parties big in Switzerland?). So actually lifting it now could be hard but how it wasn't lifted decades ago is the mindboggling part.

season opener at Beijing moved to October 24 to avoid a conflict with the Annual Xiangshan Forum. Mexico City or a 2nd race in Southern California (2 races in the LA metro, 1 being Long Beach already) being discussed as well for the TBA slot

I don't mind the idea of a superpole shootout but I hate that the other sessions have been shortened to make room for it.

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/120862
Quote:
The drivers will be continue to be split into four groups of five, with those mini-sessions being shortened to six minutes each - giving drivers time for just one flying lap with 200kW of power.

The overall top five from across all the sessions will go through to the superpole, which will take on a one-by-one format.

The fifth-fastest driver will run first, with each driver thereafter leaving the pitlane when the preceding driver has started their flying lap.
