We're at the business end of the championship now at the simple but exciting Silverstone National Circuit.

At the moment it appears that the title fight will be between Shedden and Plato but this is touring cars and anything can, and will, happen. It won't take much for the chasing pack to claw their way back into contention. Mathematically, any one of the top six drivers could walk away from the weekend leading the standings.

Adam Morgan could be one to look out for. He's scored good points recently and will be energised by his team's extended sponsorship deal. Also, Triple Eight should also be getting good results, as if there's any track that suits their car, it's this one. If they don't manage to win here, I think they can count this season as a failure.

West Surrey Racing will also be wanting success after having been pretty hit-and-miss lately. However, they haven't won here since 2002, so I'd say their chances of victory are unlikely. Team Dynamics, on the other hand will have their best shot to win here for a few years. Due to this year's engine rules they're running more boost than before and you can never count that team out.

BMR come here leading the teams' championship and have Plato second in the drivers' standings. They have, quite possibly, the perfect car for this track, so expect domination from the VWs. Having said that, Motorbase have one of the fastest cars at the moment. Will their Rouse Sport 1993-esque season continue?

As far as the supporting series are concerned, we're back up to the full-compliment of the five regular championships. The Ginetta GT4 Supercup will flaunt its largest entry of the year with 22 cars taking to the grid. The Clio Cup will also see its biggest entry with the current generation of car with 20 competitors lined-up. As for the other three series there is a possibility we will lose two cars for the rest of the year in MSA Formula, Dan Cammish could wrap up the title in race 1 of the weekend in the Carrera Cup, and Jamie Caroline looks set to extend his championship lead in the Ginetta Juniors.

Gallagher was commenting on official team and BTCC facebook accounts that posted photos of Gilham calling people Liars and other insults, long since deleted now of course.

Not smart behaviour.
