Rob Austin isn't sure he will make the Donington round

:(

Came on someone, step in and help the guy out!

Plato, Plato, Neal as the winners. New BTCC but some things never change

Great to see Morgan, Smith and Wrathall picking up points. Pleased to see Turkington back and grateful that Austin escaped uninjured, that was a terrifying shunt. Not a surprise that he might not be out for Donington.

He was competent at least, had done his homework on driver identifying. Just a bit monotone - lacking excitement when it was needed, barely reacted at all to both Hondas pitting at the same time.

Thanks for the thoughts guys, Rob OK, damage not as bad as it looks. Car was going fantastic, 20th to 10th in one lap.

That sounds positive.

Yup, they say on Facebook: "Damage nowhere near as bad as it looked. Cage and subframes OK."

good thing they added a catchfence on the inside

I'm in two minds about it. It was the best place on the circuit for taking photos. Now there's very little point going to the Indy circuit with a camera.

Good news for Rob if all the important parts remained in one piece. It would be a shame if he was missing from any rounds.

I've always liked Addison - if there's one thing he knows, it's the BTCC and everyone who's been to an actual touring car race meeting has heard him before and knows he's totally up to speed on the racing. He's exactly who they should have chosen last year rather than that squawking parrot Moody who still didn't really seem to know what he was watching by the end of the season.
