Yeah, Burt made his debut in 1990 and won his class in his first race. James Weaver wasn't a BTCC driver at the time, though. His last race was in 1992.

1990 & '91.

I'm probably getting James Weaver confused with Andy Wallace, even though Wallace drove BTCC in 1993 and not 1994.

But according to BTCC.net (and I know this is wrong), Weaver's last race in the championship was in 1989 - http://www.btcc.net/html/history_driver ... .php?id=48

So, debut and last race in '89, eh? Not '84 (when he WON a race) & '92?

btcc.net is terrible. So many incorrect 'facts' on there.

To be fair, you are both as knowledgeable as each other. Would be a cracking history page if the two of you ran it.

I was doing a search on Youtube for Jeff Allam, hoping to find some of early 80's BSCC footage. Instead, I found this...

1994 Kyalami International Super Touring Challenge Race

Drivers - Michael Briggs, John Cleland, Grant McCleery, Anthony Reid, Shaun van der Linde, Joachim Winkelhock, Alex Burgstaller, Deon Joubert, Ivan Capelli, Nic de Waal, Serge Damseaux, Will Hoy, Hannes Grobler, Tiff Needell, Jeff Allam, Farouk Dangor, Julian Bailey, Mike White, Marco dos Santos, Ian Khan, Anthony Taylor, James Weaver, Paul Radisich, Sarel van der Merwe, Kelvin Burt, Ben Morgenrood, Hilton Cowie, George Fouché

The BTCC drivers (at that time) are bolded. But there are some other very recognisable names in there as well. I'm trying to see if I can find any additional details on this event. I'd never heard of it's running before today.

Yeah definitely no contact, apart from the huge hoof up the rear of Tiff from the Mondeo and then the Mondeo retiring with front end damage right after.....

Nahhhh...no contact

Miff Tedium was always getting into these kinds of situations, they were pretty standard during his BTCC spells. It may seem a bit harsh but if there was any trouble on track during BTCC races, it would find him.

Back to the subject of 2013, here's an artist's rendition of Onslow-Coles' car, from his site:

They're not running slick tyres anymore, either. Lots of spins incoming.

Good stuff. It was better before they switched to slicks.
