It is easy to get those two mixed up, considering how many times their paths have crossed in Clios over the years.

Gilham has confirmed there will be 1 Passat for Brands along with both Insignia's. We should get Passat number 2 at Donny

It was a bit debatable if they were going to get 2 Passat's ready. I think the plan was to get both cars ready, but they haven't managed it.

Doubly worrying in that Palmer's F4 farce is going to get hour long highlights on ITV4 so we need FFord to be live and put on great racing to combat that nonsense.
Might have slicks and wings, but it's still FFord and needs to beat this upstart F4 thing

Double Clio Sunday? I can hear the teams whining about lack of repair time already!

I was doing a search on Youtube for Jeff Allam, hoping to find some of early 80's BSCC footage. Instead, I found this...

1994 Kyalami International Super Touring Challenge Race



Drivers - Michael Briggs, John Cleland, Grant McCleery, Anthony Reid, Shaun van der Linde, Joachim Winkelhock, Alex Burgstaller, Deon Joubert, Ivan Capelli, Nic de Waal, Serge Damseaux, Will Hoy, Hannes Grobler, Tiff Needell, Jeff Allam, Farouk Dangor, Julian Bailey, Mike White, Marco dos Santos, Ian Khan, Anthony Taylor, James Weaver, Paul Radisich, Sarel van der Merwe, Kelvin Burt, Ben Morgenrood, Hilton Cowie, George Fouché

The BTCC drivers (at that time) are bolded. But there are some other very recognisable names in there as well. I'm trying to see if I can find any additional details on this event. I'd never heard of it's running before today.

91 and 92, out the top of my head. They were televised in South Africa.

Kelvin Burt and Anthony Ried were BTCC drivers as well.

Not at this time they weren't. Burt joined in 95 and Reid was 97

Burt did a one off race with Prodrive's BMW squad in either 1990 or 1991, as he was a member of the BMW-Junior team (along with Kurt Luby and Tim Sugden). Anthony Reid's first BTCC race was the 1994 TOCA Shoot Out. Although that was non-championship.

Tell you something though. It's crazy to think Burt's first drive in the BTCC was over 20 years ago.
