Doesn't matter.

Boardman can hook him into the concrete at Rockingham and give him something to moan about.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Triple 8 joining in the name calling. I suddenly dislike them and Nash more than I did before:

Where's the name calling? Seems fair enough to me.

I meant more figuratively, instead of literal. And they should really be far more aware of what the leader was doing, because the funny thing is, Boardman didn't actually do anything wrong

Have to disagree with you there. He slowed down far too much for the hairpin - the rest of the pack naturally assumed he'd already gone for it and were about to take the hairpin at racing speed, hence the pileup.

Plato's probably the biggest hypocrite I've ever seen in racing - has been turfing people off the road in exactly the same way as Boardman for 15 years but still acts like a 4 year old when someone does it to him. I tune out his interviews entirely now as it's utterly predictable. "It's not fair because *insert random weekly reason* etc"

Neal's just as much a hypocrite - his standard overtake at Brands Hatch is to nudge people out the way at Clearways, then he was very unhappy a few years ago when Collard returned the favour at Paddock.

I was never a fan of Neal's "moves" at Clearways but I think he's driven a lot more fairly the past couple of years. He's also pretty classy with his interviews. Would have been very easy (and justified) to start mouthing off about Plato after the first race at Snetterton.

Maybe it's just my dislike for Plato that's making me become fans of drivers that I never thought I would! I even like Collard at the moment. :o

But you see, its his right to do so. He is the leader, it is him that dictates pace no matter how slow or fast it is and it is up to the pack to make sure they don't run into each other. The fault lies completely with everyone who came battering into the corner at full tilt. Triple 8 have nobody to blame but themselves.

Sure, he can go whatever speed he likes, but he's got to keep it constant. Boardman didn't.

I'd say that what Boardman did was legal, but not necessarily very smart.

Reminded me a little of Schumi at Monza 2000? I think he slowed up and Button got caught out.

Working for a certain motorsport based newspaper this week - all the guys there don't really like Plato :p They were coming up with imaginative headlines at one point and said 'Yeah, if we run that we'll get fucked'

Looks like we're proper racing drivers. We are going to agree to disagree on the same incident.

To be fair, Smith did come in at a fair rate of knots more then anyone else.

Boardman may have slowed more then the others expected but he is the leader and it wasn't as if he did it in the middle of the straight like a certain German, or in the tunnel like said German.

Plato: Genuine apologies for my tweet, I had just seen the race replay and post-race interview and was livid. It was silly and un called for. JP
