Plato in the oval wall in race one would be ideal.

Would be nice to see a pack of 30 head into turn 1.

Not so nice seeing them all trying to brake for the hairpin.

Should be fun. Will have to record it as I am working, which is a bitch.

Amazing! That's great. He's been around for so long it is about time he made his BTCC debut.

So we're looking at a 27-car grid for this weekend then, assuming Hughes & Wood show up. Possibly 28 if 888 can find another driver.

Post subject:  Re: BTCC @ Rockingham 17th-18th Sept.

Should be 28, should it not?

Going by manufacturer, this is how the grid should look this weekend

Chevy

Plato
MacDowell
O'Neill
George
James

Honda

Shedden
Neal
Wood

Ford

Neate
Chilton
TOC
Jackson
Caine
Griffin

BMW

Collard
Foster
Gilham

Toyota

Wrathell
Hughes

Vauxhall

Jordan
Nash
Smith

Seat

Boardman
Newsham

VW

Byford

Proton

Welch

Audi

Austin
Swanwick

If everyone turns up, it means we should have 28 cars on the grid for Rockingham.

Nope, Swanwick's entering at Brands.

Ah well, 27 cars is ace.

Nice grid. :)

I still can't work out if I actually like Rockingham. I mean, the first corner and oval section is cool, and the races are usually pretty good. It just seems to be missing something. Maybe the backdrop is a little bland.

Really looking forward to it though. Clios and F-Renault are back with us as well. :) (although I'll miss those Mini's)

Also, if we do get 27 cars am I right in thinking this will be the biggest grid for the BTCC since 1994?

And soul.

Tracks can have character and soul (Knockhill), but produce dull racing (see knockhill again).

Rockingham might be dull, but I've yet to see a dull BTCC race there.

I know, but for me a circuit seems wrong unless it has trees and elevation changes and a sense of everything being packed in like at Brands or Oulton.

Knockhill has NEVER produced a dull race.
