Went to the beach near the Porto track and took some pictures of it, as it is now. (shitty quality, sorry)

Second main straight chicane:

Took this one more for the car. :p

Don't think so. Still waiting on the official track map from the organization though.

Spent my first day working at the track printing out entry lists and timing sheets, but I still found the experience pretty cool. Tomorrow should be better, as it'll have more movement.

Picture time.

Went to get a set of standing sheets, which requires crossing the active pitlane. Had to wait for this lot to go through to cross back:

Overheard a couple of team members talking at lunch today, and they said that the WTCC may not return, due to the lack of some conditions. Not sure which, though.

Also, our current mayor, who brought the racing back, is not renewing his term, which may put the event in danger.

Official: Citroën Racing will be taking part in the entire 2014 FIA WTCC season. This will be a new challenge for Sébastien Loeb, who will be driving one of the cars entered in the championship.

I hope that those lack of some conditions aren't money related. By the way, I don't think that the fact that our mayor can't renew his term will put the circuit in jeopardy. It attracts thousands and AFAIK is quite lucrative.

Lol, just got an email saying that only one volunteer will be allowed to be in the media center this weekend, as Eurosport will be taking care of that.

So, I've been sacked from volunteer work.

They may have sacked me from the volunteering, but managed to win a paddock ticket for tomorrow, thanks to a Facebook contest. That, plus the free stand ticket I got for working there, will make this a good weekend. 8)

The WTCC cars are really quiet. Most of the support series have louder cars.

That is cool, we're relying on you to get pics/vids of support race action as there's bugger all on TV except for the main race.
(Are Auto GP here again? Can't see it on the TV schedule anywhere....)

And guess who claimed a "dominant" pole? Yep, Yvan Muller.

Say it together, everyone....;)
