If it is true we can assume a few things. RML wont be back, 888 have a works deal (remember Plato gets paid so that could be something we could reasonably assume) and are going full NGTC this year. It's all just rumor so don't get too excited till anything official comes out

Would be a shame if RML aren't back.

Who'd be the manufacturer if Triple 8 are a works entry? A return for Vauxhall perhaps? Volvo maybe?

Vauxhall would be your most likely candidates, although they have shifted focus to footie the last couple of year. MG are also looking to return, too. There are your two best bets me thinks.

Volvo assigning a team to build an NGTC car for BTCC when they've ditched STCC and gone to TTA is about is likely as Jason Plato retiring from racing to become a street musician in Vienna.

I guess either RML weren't going NGTC as they promised him or they're off to the WTCC and Plato hates flying.

Has to be Vauxhall though doesn't it?

I guess his falling out with the team ten years ago is ancient history now...
