Probably not given the organization that runs TCR is at best not doing any better then Supercars, they're possibly ending S5000 after this year and they just sold the GT series to SRO plus most of the management group and investors have left. |

So, admit these cars are a bust and just go TCR? Or NGTC... Ford V Chevy is not the same as Ford V Holden. Those days are gone so they really should think about having other manufacturers in the series and keeping them. |

Yes, they've had the blinders on for some time now. You do Ford vs GM when the circumstances fit. If they don't, you open up the sport to keep it relevant to the fans. This has happened before. It sustained the sport. But those in charge keep telling themselves they know better. |

They just need to get onboard the next big brand war between neighbourhood garages: racing Chinese economy SUV EVs. Triple 8 MG ZS vs DJR's BYD Atto vs Walkinshaw Racing GWM Ora. There'll be more flips than Clio racing! And the fires will be EPIC. |

Supercar fans will not tolerate TCR, because they're not loud as hell V8's, because core supporters are morons. They could team up, but I doubt that will happen. They should have adopted the TA2/Trans-Am regulations. Cars already exist, are loud V8's, and can race around the world |

From what I've heard, they'd rather die on the hill of being individuals than keep going with anyone else's regulations. |

I'm looking at buying one for $60k AUD. But outside of that, there is no other. Few years ago Chrysler 300C V8's were popular but they've stopped bringing them in, only V8's you can get are in utes (Dodge Ram, about $150k AUD) or from the premium European brands (BMW, Mercedes et al) and you're looking at $200k+ AUD for those. |

2024 calendar is out. Only 12 events again since they've decided they won't make money going to the Bend, though they will be going back there for an enduro event in 2025 (maybe replacing Sandown). Only improvement over this year is that there's one less sprint event as Taupo will have two 200km races, and only two of those sprint events will be back-to-back as opposed to the four in a row that they had this year. I think they know Sandown will be gone by then, 2024 will probably be the last Supercars race there. Kinda glad they're not going to the Bend, although it was starting to warm to me, but I'm still dumbfounded as to why they don't go to Phillip Island. The best circuit in Australia after Bathurst in my opinion. |
