Weekend Notes:

- Stewart Lines hops back behind the wheel to complete the season in his Maximum Motorsport Focus.
- Brett Smith replaces his father, Jeff, at Eurotech Racing for the remainder of the year.
- Motorbase Performance will only field a two-car entry at Snetterton, having been unable to build a new car since Croft and with Luke Davenport still out injured. They will return to a three-car line-up at Knockhill with a driver still TBA (possibly Rory Butcher).

Fuck's sake BTCC, you had ONE JOB

IE have 6 week break, FINE. F1 is about to go on a similar break so it's nice to have you back to fill the void

But wait, you've managed to clash with F1 AND the Spa 24 hours? What the hell was wrong with waiting one more week to get the weekend to yourself
(And I have the whole weekend off so you just know there'll be zero series racing that weekend :slaphead: )

But yay, BTCC is back, wooo great racing on a track that's not quite as good as it used to be....yaaay

Also: Clio race after BTCC race 3. Crap. (But at least that one might make Motorsport UK....?)

Even worse news:

The Yaytree is dying

I can't actually find any modern pics from this season that aren't on closed facebook groups (though I've just asked to join one dedicated to the tree and the first post is by Marv lol), but yeah, the tree seems to have damn near collapsed.

RIP Yaytree, nevar 4 get

Also, Plato and Sutton had their chasis swap and Plato is now certain it's his chassis that's the problem, not him

Hope he still gets smoked this weekend even in a "fixed" chassis, further pushing him into retirement.

When he finally buggers off I won't be able to say I'm blocked by a BTCC driver on Twitter any more :(

Well I don't remember @platoing him but I do tend to tweet Knighthoods for taking him out. He seems the type to ego search

Dynamics reckon the ride height check on Neals car was carried out incorrectly

Plato's car swap obviously saw him wiping the floor with Sutton then :whistling:

And the forecast has changed overnight... Mostly dry. Possible rain towards the end of the meeting.

2017 is immune to rain

(Unless it's NASCAR, then it falls there LOADS )

Slightly longer angle of the Croft qualy crash there, didn't realise one of the cars mounted the wall and nearly went over it :8:
