And there was proposals to run Montreal backwards for the Champcar race in 2002 but again it came to nothing.

ITT we talk about circuits that could be raced in either direction

Best unintended consequence of having a reverse track option ever:

"You've gotta ask the question: look at the damage to that car!"

Good question

It was odd how that kerb was there for 10 years or so and it never caused any troubles until that weekend when there were two huge barrel rolls because of it.

Any news regarding the Skoda cars? Thought they intended to run the last part of the season?

Only if Hamilton could find the budget and he obviously can't so do not expect to see them anytime soon

I don't think they ever started building the car actually (there was only going to be one).

Just reading that Matt Neal broke a metacarpal when he fell off of his motorbike last week.

Plato will probably claim it's karma for Neal's actions at the recent Snetterton round.

LOL @ every story in BTCC now turning to Plato-hate here. I know it's all (mostly) in jest, it's funny reading actually.

Jeff Smith will be at Silverstone, as Eurotech have acquired Dynamics' spare shell. It was in the paint shop today.

Good to hear. That was a really badly damaged car.

Tony Gilham has said he might run 4 cars next year.

Plans to build 2 NGTC cars alongside the 2 he intends to buy during the off-season.

The cynical part of me says that's just a bit too many...

STR said that in 2010, and funnily enough they only appeared with 1 car.

RML may be back next year with a NGTC.

Some more news from this week's Motorsport News is that Formula Renault UK won't return next season, they're not putting it on.

On the plus side, MN has sources that say Formula Ford will return to the BTCC Support bill next season, with 220bhp in the engine

This is good news, I have been enjoying the FFord shows on 4od this year (like hell am I getting up at 7am on a Sat morn  ) despite the car count, so as long as they don't go slicks and wings this will be a great addition to the package :)
