Wales doesn't care about motor racing which is a real shame tbh It's to occupied with rugby and our awesomely shitty football team. The last Welsh driver that actually did anything note worthy was Tom Pryce and we all know what happened to him :C

NO Liam McMillan next year. The cars are up for sale and its likely he will go back to the SEAT Eurocup. Therefore, he has been taken off the list of potentials next year.

In other news, team Motorbase/Airwaves have tested Stephen Kane, Andrew Jordan and Alex MacDowell. They have therefore been added to the list as possibles. Info here:

Motorbase should keep Collard (entertainment) and Adam (good driver). We need a new team for Jordan and Kane :flag:

Jordan should take a Vectra back to his family run team for 2010, like he was due to in 2009.

That's the replacement for the Dacia Logan Cup which runs in Germany & Romania. So probably not.

Gotta love the internet's apparent requirement for sarcasm.

The word on other forums is of a UK Cup with cars built by Maxtreme. No concrete info as yet but supposedly an announcement in Motorsport News next week, dunno any more.

The only thing I would say is that there are several one make championships coming into the market this year, for example the FIAT Abrath Cup and also the Mitsubishi Lancer Cup, so it should be interesting in how this pans out.

In other news, Sarah Moore is a nominee for the Young Sportsperson of the Year Award. A nice recognition even though I doubt she has a chance against the likes of Tom Daley.

She didn't make it through to the final three. Tom Daley, Heather Watson and Jodie Williams are the contenders remaining.

Angleseys biggest issue is the lack of paddock facilities..Namely, No garages and no 'proper' scruitineering bay, there are plans for these but they have to get the money in place, access is no worse than Oulton, croft or non BTCC tracks like Mallory or Cadwell TBH.. A couple or 3 miles of smaller roads from a main artery road (A5).. The main issue will be getting them off the 5
parking isn't thatbig an issue. Around the old track area and upto the main circuit office (top left of the track in that picture) there's lots of hard standing and on either side of the access road there are fields that would cope with over spill., on the plus side, the track is built on the side of a hill and the banking gives a fantastic view over the whole track, (there's a couple of pics on here somewhere, one a panoramic view from up there, and another that a certain ex admin took of me taking it!
The track is fantastic, if a bit hairy in places, the surface is that new-gen stuff and is very abrasive.. The long right at church tends to eat left rears!
The main issue would be the weather.. You can get 4 seasons in one day, on a good day the place is beautiful..but Un-bearable when it's cold, wet and windy..
The marshalls like it as it's a day out at the sea side for them, and as it can run on a Sunday it won't clash with Oulton..
As for me, I love it there, it's great viewing from the pit wall as you can see quiet a lot of the track, unlike some tracks where you only see the cars as they pass the pits, here you can see a lot of the lap..
I can't wait for the pit garages (with a viewing area and control tower above) and slight improvements to the access roads... Like Field of Dreams... "Build it and they will come"

Is Anglesey safe enough? It's got big run offs, but there almost all grass, no tarmac or gravel. It's fine in the dry, but in the only wet racing I've seen there any car having an off didn't slow down until it crunched into the barriers.

It seems likely that we will see at least 1 Chevy Cruze in the championship next year, as sources have indicated that at least one of the cars have been sold to a BTCC team. I would hazard a guess and say Silverline, with Plato and Jackson staying.

On slightly more worrying news. ITV 4 might not be free to air, with the boss of ITV stating that this possible might be the case and you will have to pay for the coverage next year. But it is only a possibility.

I somehow can't see Gow accepting that. That would kill the viewing figures.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

ITV have lost a shed load of money over the past couple of years, so it wouldn't suprise me that they take this desperate tactic. I wouldn't pay out of principal.

The rumour of ITV starting to charge for their channels has been doing the rounds for quite a while now. They're in a rather bad financial situation at the moment. They'd have been killed off by now if the country wasn't full of morons who continue to watch and vote on that rigged 'singing' contest.

Hopefully ITV4 doesn't go pay-channel or the only thing I actually care about on any of the four ITV channels would require me to input money into the pathetic excuse for a TV station.
