Super Black Racing won't be back next year, they've sold their REC to Tim Blanchard. their facebook page wrote: Super Black Racing has today confirmed that it has concluded a deal to sell its Racing Entitlement Contract (REC) to Tim Blanchard Racing.
The Blanchard family have a long history in motorsport and the purchase ensures that team can move forward towards its next stage. Super Black Racing team manager Greg Hahn explained: “We must thank Rusty French for supporting our plan and honouring the commitments of his friend, the late Tony Lentino, with his commitments. Unfortunately though, we just didn’t get the support we needed from New Zealand to continue given the time frame we had. It’s disappointing for the team and for our driver Chris Pither, but hopefully it won’t be the last time you see Super Black Racing on the grid line up”. "You could say we are taking a sabbatical and we will reset and look toward a more sustainable New Zealand campaign in the near future” Hahn added. “These things take time and we would like to think we can get back into the main game at a later date and that we have showed on numerous occasions what the team and Chris have been capable of.” The REC is to be raced out of Brad Jones Racing next season and the REC has been purchased as part of the Blanchard’s long-term plan for Tim Blanchard Racing. Super Black Racing looks forward to a positive result this weekend at for the last round of the season at Sydney Olympic Park. |

Well it wasn't a very exciting result to the first qualifying session. SVG and Whincup are on the front row (SVG being the quickest) with McLaughlin and Lowndes on the second. |

Racing in December  I am going to miss this race, it was nice for Supercars to start their championship with a street race in a big australian city and also bookend it by doing the same. Also it's great for airbournes and smasher-oos Ever since the epic wet championship decider of a few years ago its replaced macau as my personal "highlight to end the season with" Also turn 8 seems to be a big crash generator here too even if it's not quite at the same speed
