That would make the 'John R Weir' Chicane pretty interesting I think. The approach would be be pretty quick, into a downhill plunge.

Yeah but surely that's no real different to Duffers Dip in normal direction?

Hmm, not too sure about that tbh.

Looks like I might be getting a VIP pass for Thruxton, would be nice.

They've had a license like that before, probably 7 or 8 years ago, and Donington used to as well. Downhill into the hairpin would be fun :) .

That's sad. His red & gold Escorts are the first thing that pop into my mind when I think about touring car racing in the '60s. Legendary cars.

Duffus Dip.

Pretty unlikely the BTCC will run the reverse circuit, they'll test it out on some club stuff first. Wouldn't make a huge difference to the circuit other than to switch some corners from being blind uphill to blind downhill and vice-versa. Biggest difference will be the start - running downhill into the hairpin as the first turn...

No replacement for FRenaults on the Brands timetable. Any rumours about what's likely to replace them for the rest of the season? If anything?

The general consensus is that it is too late for anything to come onto the bill permanently, although one-offs could make an appearance at certain tracks.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

The only downer for me about this season is I kept holding out for a late announcement from PON. Hopefully he still gets a few rounds. He was pretty awesome the second half of last season, especially at Snetterton and Rockingham.

Can't wait for this weekend :flag:

Apparently the timetable has been shifted to allow for more racing from all series on the Sundays to make up, and although I'm too lazy to check I bet the Clio drivers will still bitch about needing one day to repair all their damage and it'll mean we just get two Porsche races every round instead :(

Still, a BTCC round with no single seaters, a big shame for me....

I know that Formula Renault has been woeful for the past couple of seasons, but I'll still miss seeing single seaters. It wasn't all that long ago that we had the crazy Formula BMW races and 30 car grids in the Renaults. *sigh*

Still, there are plenty of decent championships that would do a great job of filling the gap. Legends, Caterhams, Formula Renault BARC, Minis...

Listening to Tin Top Tuesday with Tony Gilham.

They're hoping to run a second car at some point but literally the only car they could get their hands on was an Old Vauxhall Vectra so they didn't want to run two cars from two different manufacturers so opted out from that.

They're looking into adding another car before the end of the season though, and maybe even 2 more for 2013

Spoke to a friend today - Foster's BMW was written off after the flip.

There's been an ALMIGHTY twitter row tonight between Chris James and Andrew Jordan that has lead to everyone else on Twitter getting back on their high horses about the BTCC again....*sigh*

Yeah, drivers are people too, people get mad, people are gonna argue sometimes....big whoop wanna fight about it.

Would still rather that than the robots of "PROFESSIONAL" series....

Still, there could be some interesting stuff going on come Qualifying at Donington

Seems a bit pathetic on both their behalf. Shit like this happens on circuit all the time. Seems a bit minor to have such a issue on twitter.

They've got previous though apparently. Supposedly James emailed Eurotech to say they'd do a better job in the Vectras...

Anyway
