No, guy isn't awful but isn't special either, on all the races I hear him commentate on, nothing sticks out, just a bit bland imo.

I must be the only person to like Harvey. So long as you don't mention 2002 he's good enough.
Like pretty much all of the guys on the btcc bill tho so as long as they don't do anything wacky like give it to Paul o neill I'll be happy enough

With one month to go, it looks like we have about 5 more entries to be confirmed - Speedworks second car (Hoping Lead Wood is in that), The Thorney team (2 cars there, after all they have a sponsor so pretty much certain that 2 cars will appear) and ES Racing (one NGTC and one S2000 car) it looks like we will have a full grid of cars.

Why not mention 2002?

See I was thinking that giving PON a go would be a good idea, he'd probably be pretty good. But he'd need a strong anchor with him.

That said, as a completely out there thought... perhaps Charlie Cox and John Watson should come back?

Was it 2002 or 2001 when he was running dodgy looking Peugeots at the back of the field with Vic Lee?

And now I think about it, 1992 shouldn't be mentioned either, he never shuts up about that :p

I've always liked Harvey, but don't you mean 1992?

2001 was VLR run Pugs in the main class of the "new" BTCC, when there were 4 Vauxhalls, 2 or 3 Pugs, 1 Lexus and 1 or 2 Alfas (sometimes even just a half...) which Harvey was piloting

2002 was VLR run Pugs in the privateer class, where Harvey battled with team mate Eaves and Barwell's Aaron Slight for the title. Eaves won, Harvey runner up.

I don't mind Harvey all that much as a commentator but he's got stale over the years.

I saw it on 10 tenths originally, then went hunting and saw his Twitter and a reference on his website about it. It's to do with his ESPN commitments and other opportunities. It seems very likely he wont be back.

Definitely different opportunities. I have it on good sources that him and Jen Horsey aren't going to be returning for GRC coverage as well.

He doesn't like caterhams?

Odd, considering pretty much every race I've seen of theirs has come with his commentary.
Also that they never put on a bad race due to their design....

Lost a bit of respect for him there, maybe he has personal issues with them.... :?
