It would be really interesting to see what Wood could achieve in a "good" car. No disrespect to his family team but he barely ever got the chance to show off his talents other than the odd flashes.

I'm with you on this.

But the issue I see, with both Wood and Newsham driving for Speedworks, is that I don't think they'll be able to show much with this team. PON had a couple of good outings, but we know PON is very good and has a huge amount of experience. Speedworks over the past couple of seasons has struggled. I have doubts about the team's capability.

Thing is, O'Neill is the only decent driver they ever actually had in one of their cars so it's impossible to know just how good they are. Hughes was there for gentleman jollies and Morgan was (for some reason) just utterly hopeless in these kinds of cars - he had a lot of bad luck but was involved in so many accidents it was impossible for them to gain any momentum. I really think that with 2 years of team experience in the BTCC and with a Newsham/Wood driving force, they'll take a big step forward. In an NGTC based field though I don't think Newsham will be battling for wins this year though.

Simon Hill or Richard John Neil. It'll be one of those two I'm sure.

Thank god for that. So many people raved on about him before the start of the season, but I thought he was appalling quite frankly.

And I'm going to have to disagree with you Paul and go for RJN :p Either would be good though.

I saw it on 10 tenths originally, then went hunting and saw his Twitter and a reference on his website about it. It's to do with his ESPN commitments and other opportunities. It seems very likely he wont be back.
