For the record I named it that pre-weekend because it's the 10 year anniversary of the legendary Yaytree naming, batshit insane races TBK Light Snetterton thread.

The only spoiler I'll give you is that it was intermittently wet throughout the day....

9 actually :p

Rob Collard won't be racing at Rockingham or Knockhill. Replacement TBA.

That sucks for him but concussion is a serious issue.

Don't think we'll see Rob in the championship after this year

Funnily enough, I just watched the Mini challenge show on channel 4 that my Tivo picks up for me, he had a pretty sizeable shunt in oulton park race 2 too, I think that was in the middle of all those listed shunts as well, so that couldn't have helped

I assume his mission now is to keep going long enough until his son is ready to take over.
Based on his Mini challenge racing, it won't be long either.

Probably the most sensible and most expected replacement. I think he's a better driver than Rob, actually.

Looks like the full package will be at Knockhill. A very lean year this year, which TOCA and the support series got severe flack for.

Just catching up on the news. Big Rob Collard fan here... He's had some bad crashes over the last few seasons. I felt like after his Silverstone concussion last year he hasn't been quite the same this year. Granted the field if more competitive than ever (I know we say this every year but it truly is)... we just haven't seen the fire he had shown us early-mid 2017. I have to agree we probably won't see him again after this season. If fact, could he have already ran his last race in the BTCC?

Absolutely thrilled that I can continue cheering for Ricky. He might struggle with his race craft from the get go but I think he'll be FAST right away. He'll have that qualifying pace that Rob just never could figure out.

yea that was impressive. he finished 5th in standings last year despite having a DNS, WD or retirement for the last 7 races. hope he would race at least once more as a proper sendoff
