Atleast theyre trying with what they've got.

I think they should do what is better for the sport and gracefully leave. They are now a crummier operation than most top-flight Dev Series teams.

hey!!

No, I'm saying that the top Development Series teams are proper, small teams, whereas TKR are just a pathetic operation.

As a kiwi I love the concept of team kiwi and having meet Kayne and seen his achievements back home, I have a lot of time for him. However the management of the team is an embarrassment which unfortunately reflects badly on a couple of individuals, ie the drivers, who don't deserve it.

My wish is for PCR to take over the team and become a 2 car outfit. The reality is they reflect the philosphy of a NZ team better than TKR (as do Tasman). Unfortunately this will never happen, the Stone brothers tried to buy the team last year (and keep Gis in the seat) but David John ate another pie and said no. :x I just can't see the team getting out of this in a hurry and as a result a great concept will die.

HRT #2 with Baird. He's about a decade passed his prime. He qualified 26th at PI (4th last) or something stupid.

Seton at HRT for me = no longer like him.

:p

I have some sympathy for him. Something like 25 starts with only 2 2nd places with 2 more retirements from the lead.

Ditto. He still will have some pace at the mountain, and I would love to see Seton win, not a realistic chance though.

A decade ago he was still winning races (infact into the 00's he was still race winning material)

Looks like Ryan Brown is replacing Damian and Jose Fernandez replacing Gene for this weekend. Hopefully Jose is on one of his good weekends because when he is he's electric, but when he's not he's in the wall.

never heard of this Ryan Brown chap either but he has experience at bathurst which is a plus.

The Sunday at this event is one of the few race days that Adelaide doesn't get on delay. Thankfully they do this countrywide as well.

I'm pretty sure he raced at Bathurst last year in the Fujitsu Series in an HPM Falcon.

From natsoft

Ryan Brown in 2007 at Bathurst
P1 - 32nd - 2:28.3828 +17.2181 (33rd excluded)
P2 - 33rd - 2:28.0083 +17.7032
Q - 32nd - 2:21.2576 +12.2312 (1 car didn't set a lap)
R1 - 22nd - 2:21.4693 fastest lap (race fastest 2:11.2916) (Finished ahead of 1 running driver, and 9 DNFs)
R2 - 20th - 2:18.6564 fastest lap (race fastest 2:11.1454) (Finished ahead of 3 running drivers and 7 DNFs)

So he won't be a front runner, but he will at least improve over the weekend, and if he can start from where he finished last year he could post a reasonable result in the races.
