Plato and Collard on the same team?

2 years ago I would've screamed in terror.

Well I bet it's dependent on them getting a big sponsor (like WSR have RAC, Dynamics have Halfords). Personally if Motorbase did get Plato I would expect them to keep Kane rather than Collard.

Motorbase are happy with their current line up and might be expanding into a 3 car team next year. They already have a fairly big sponsor, Komatsu.

3 Motorbase cars and 3 RAC cars would be tast. Add in the possibility of new manufacturers, and next season could be awesome 8)

I have no doubt Motorbase will win a race or 2, if not more, next year. Collard's got the experience to get the job done in the BTCC and Kane's a top driver

Thats very good news, if they are both expanding to three cars, and it wouldnt be the BTCC if Plato wasnt in it tbh, he has sort of become the staple of the championship now. Really hoping that we do get a couple of announcements regarding the replacement of the Cupra championship (which seems as if its going to be the Ginetta G50 cup) and also a few more manufactures. Even if we didnt get anymore for next year (which does seem unlikely with all the rumours going on and such) it still looks to be a cracking year next year.

Whoah Whoah Whoah Whoah!

One good year and you people forget the golden rule...

Lets not start counting cars now, I'm sure every team out there would like to run three cars next year in the BTCC but theres a small matter of them actually finding the money to do it!

Every year we were promised about 30 cars and only this year have we got somewhat close to that number!

It's far to early to begin predictions, the teams are just saying what they'd like to do in an ideal world, and we all know this world is less than ideal! :p

Jonathan Adam will test a Leon TDI on Monday (providing it doesn't break down), ahead of a possible entry next year:

Mike Jordan has effectively retired to concentrate on the team, but Andrew will drive a Vectra next year - yep, not a Civic

Just seen that, quite surprising but I reckon he should be really good with the car behind him.Interesting team setup bit simillar to the Eggsport cars a few years back. And I thought Eurotech were gonna buy some Civics seems their Integras have been up for sale.

Yeaa after Andrews Civic test, everyone thought they were going to run Civic's, at least until the SEAT diesels became available.

I heard from a reliable source at Brands on the final day of the season that the Ginetta G50's were signed up by TOCA almost immediately after the Cupra annoucement.

Ok the Cupra championship has been pretty shit with v.low grids, but these guys arn't pros, they bought these cars only to find they were instantly devalued when SEAT pulled out. There are only a couple of european countries that will be racing them next year - i just hope they can get a half decent price so they can race again next season in another car/championship.

I also recently learnt that SEAT built the Cupras from scratch, but only when they actually built them did they realise that they were a shit load quicker that the BTCC cars. So they did the easy thing and put skinny tires on them to slow them down. If you put BTCC size tires on them they would piss all over everything in the BTCC. All that with a pretty much stock Audi S4 engine.

I also heard at Brands that Mitsubishi were sniffing around BTCC, but i don't believe that one.

Reason for that might by that they've just started racing the Lancer Evo X in Britcar

That's quite a surprise, particularly with him testing for Team Halfords a while back.

Will be a shame to see Mike go, he's been a great addition to the series.
