It will be interesting to see how the Waters/Dixon Shannon's car progresses over the weekend, as they are comfortably slowest but still within the 105% at this stage.

Chris Pither in the Wilson Security #21 Commodore was the first car to cause a red flag today, sticking his car into the Griffin's Bend Tyre Wall.

Steve Owen will be cursing his bad luck again. 4th in Practice 1, but his teammate/car owner Paul Morris 24th in Practice 2. Unfortunately for Owen, he'll have to deal with Boris Said as his slow co-driver at Gold Coast again this year.

Whincup the first into the 2m7s bracket, and was joined by Lowndes and then Davison in the final minutes of practice. Waters found 2s on his last lap to improve on his time earlier in the day, and is now only 1.6s behind 2nd last.

ost may have meant the '67 Mustang that Geoghegan raced (and was rarely beaten in) from 1967

Seems as if V8 Supercars are going to stream the whole race live on YouTube for non-Aussies and Kiwis, if their channel's anything to go by...
