It's always the way with something like Autosport.

They must meet 1000s of people over the course of the weekend and try their absolute hardest to be pleasant to everyone, but at some point someone is going to push it and go OTT, or just the fact they have several appearances on various stages means that can't stay in one place forever and chat so have to cut the conversation or signing short, and you just know that the one person they leave are immediately on their facebook or twitter saying "xxx driver is a complete rude bellend" while the 1000s of people who enjoyed their conversation don't say anything.

I was standing with Crofty after his apperance on the stage (he is our patron and we had a tankard to reward him with) and this guy was using his 3 or 4 year old kid to push through the crowds to get a photo with him.
It was bizarre seeing a parent use his child in this way, as if that was the only reason he had the child was to get him access to personalities.
Crofty obliged, took the picture but maybe had more of a chat with the child than the parent to his chagrin.
You can bet the parent would be bitching about Crofty's rudeness later on, despite the fact he was the worst parent ever.
(No, the child didn't seem to care a thing about who Crofty or anyone there was tbh :p )

Reminds me of that lady who was chasing for Raikkonen's autograph and she hurted her child in the process.

With the Autosport International over, what else is there still to be decided?

Well, we still don't know WSR or Motorbase's lineups. Both have confirmed 3 cars each and Turkington looks more than likely to be behind the wheel of a BM and with Dave Bartrum talking about champions being in his cars, both could have excellent and surprising line-ups.

Team Hard or whatever Warren Scott is going to call his team has still to announce their line-up and I think we could see some good youngsters behind those cars - perhaps Jack Goff, Dan Cammish and/or Tom Ingram (as Sam Tordoff is now confirmed as the 3rd MG driver alongside Plato and Marc Hynes)?

Speedworks also have not announced their line-up, bar Simon Belcher in a satellite team. Both Speedworks drivers from 2013 - Dave Newsham and Ollie Jackson - have found new homes at AMD and Welch Motorsport.

Rob Austin Racing have confirmed 1 car and will most likely run a second car to whoever has the biggest cheque.

ES Motorsport may be returning but God knows if they will appear.

Matt Jackson, Tom Onslow-Cole, Rob Collard and Aron Smith have also not confirmed what they are doing for 2014 and less said about Frank Wrathell the better and we know he isn't coming back. Paul O'Neil wont be coming back full time as he has already confirmed that he wont be. Lea Wood also seems to have a license, but not much is known about the car he will be driving is anything.

I also remember quite a few people seemed to blame Kimi for the incident. Fawk knows why...

And at kart99, thanks for all the updates as they are much appreciated but there needs to be a quick correction.

About ES Racing... they may show up but no-one really gives a flying fuck!

Yeam HARD will announce their line-up on Friday apparently and it looks like Alain Menu will drive for Motorbase.

Nick Foster is 99.9% likely not to return to WSR and Rob Collard looks like he has left too leaving two vacant seats at WSR.

Perhaps Dave Bartrum has buried the hatchet with Rob Collard (after the way RC turned his back on the squad a couple of years back) and is welcoming him back to the team? After all, didn't he recently say a couple of ex-champions would joining the team this year? That's both Menu and Collard then.

Yeh, he might of but I do find it a tad unlikely. Not to say that it isn't a possibility because let's face it this is the BTCC off season and ANYTHING can happen, I haven't his name mentioned against any team whatsoever. If he is to come back on the grid, I would expect HARD or Speedworks to be the destination more than Motorbase - especially when you have Aron Smith, Jackson, Cammish and perhaps (hey you never know) Gio available - would you take Collard?

According to Autosport today, Cammish is heading to British F3.

Seems like it is only a possibility as he mentions GT's being viable to. Interested to see where he ends up.

Collard's only gotten the Independent's championship hasn't he? That's a pretty loose definition of "ex champion".

That's true, but also fits with what kart99 originally posted last week.

Just a reminder that we should find out HARD's driver line-up tomorrow. WSR may also have news of some sort tomorrow.
